Paul Layte, CEO of Next Level Business tells us how it feels to be awarded this year’s Small Firm of the Year.
How does it feel to win Small Firm of the Year?
The team are chuffed to bits we have achieved this right on the nose of our 4th Birthday as a firm. We feel it endorses our belief that accountants can help change the world one impact at a time.
How will winning the 2019 Accounting Excellence Award for Small Firm impact your firm?
We would hope that our award as a young firm based on digital roots with strong advisory branches would inspire others accountants and firms to really think about who and what they want to be and to relentlessly focus on achieving that for the benefit of themselves, their clients and the wider world.
What advice would you give to anyone entering the awards, or thinking of entering the awards next year?
Just do it! The very activity of taking time out to think about your merits of the entry is an important part of developing any businesses. Being able to communicate your value not just to the judges but to staff, clients and other stakeholders has real benefits.
What does accounting excellence mean to you?
Accounting excellence to us is an ethos not a destination or level. An ethos which embraces a culture of positive change, kaizen improvement, positivity, restlessness and a little bit of crazy. One where unlocking individual, team and firm potential is an exciting and never ending journey.
