Nick Park, Director of Green & Co spoke to us about his practice bringing home a well earned Accounting Excellence trophy for the second year in a row.

How does it feel to win the Client Service Award?

It was very exciting to be shortlisted in this category alongside other top accountancy firms and we were delighted when Kathryn Ryan announced our name as the winner. We work very hard to provide the best service we can to our clients and this award reflects the effort and commitment that everyone at Green & Co puts in.

How will winning the 2019 Accounting Excellence Award for Client Service impact your firm?

Winning the award has been a great motivator for our staff who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and experience to all our clients. We work very hard to be innovative and industry leaders, and to be recognised at a national level is a great achievement for us. It also gives us a great opportunity to reach clients from the whole of the UK.

What advice would you give to anyone entering the awards or thinking of entering the awards next year?

It is definitely worth investing the time to complete the entry. The process provides you with an opportunity to assess the things you do well and highlights areas where you may want to improve. It allows you to benchmark against other industry leaders, giving an external perspective on the things you do. It is also extremely encouraging for the whole team!

What does accounting excellence mean to you?

Accounting Excellence does what it says on the tin! It means striving to excel in all areas of business for the benefit of clients and also your team.
