How does it feel to win Professional Tax Software of the Year?

Overwhelmed and excited sums it up, being recognised alongside established tax software provider BTC Software and other big names in accounting software so early in our journey drives us to continue innovating the software to make it the best it can be. The fact the award is based on user reviews makes it extra special as it shows our users appreciate the onus we place on simplicity and the service our teams give, and we’re thankful to them for that.

How will winning the 2019 Accounting Excellence Award for Professional Tax Software of the Year impact your firm?

GoSimpleTax is founded on the belief that tax software should make a tangible difference to the life of the individual using it. 

Our service is designed not only to help them get their tax affairs in order, but also to flag up possibilities where tax liability can be reduced, or something has been missed.

Winning the 2019 Accounting Excellence Award gives us greater exposure to the accounting community who can also benefit from our pay as you go cloud tax software and the values the team build it on. Keep it simple, dare to care, exceed expectation, make a positive impact, do the right thing and love what you’re doing.

What advice would you give to anyone entering the awards, or thinking of entering the awards next year?

Exceed client expectations throughout the year and engage regularly with your community, so in the run up to the awards you can call on them to vote.

With interaction throughout the year and expectations exceeded, you’re more likely to get great results in the voting.

What does accounting excellence mean to you?

From a software developers perspective accounting excellence is providing a practice with quality, fast and simple cloud tax return software. Allowing the firm to focus on adding value to their clients through business advice and planning.
